Sherene Ariffin
Background: Born and raised in Singapore. Speak English, Mandarin, Bahasa
Malaysia and Bahasa Indonesia. Special interests are sociolinguistics, reading
and
writing, effects of culture on language learners.
Education: Graduated with a BSc. in Banking and Finance (Hons) from University of
London, lead college London School of Economics. Currently working on her MA

Larke A. Golaski
Background: Born and raised in the US. Lived
abroad for 10 years and taught
English in Taiwan. Thailand and Laos. Worked as an English-language
instructor at Krirk Business College in Bangkok and for USAID and Lao
Airlines in Vientiane, Laos, as well as for the International Business
program of IMPAC. Developed a glossary of public health, social work and
nursing terms to be used to train community health workers.
